Palm Beach County has no countywide recertification ordinance; each city is its own Local Enforcement Agency under F.S. §553.899. The City of Boca Raton adopted its own ordinance (Ordinance 5589): milestone inspections are due at 25 years from the certificate of occupancy for qualifying buildings within three miles of the coastline and at 30 years otherwise, then every 10 years.
