Fortis BuildSafe Solutions (“Fortis”) is a Florida forensic engineering firm. This Privacy Policy explains what information this website collects, how Fortis uses it, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

Fortis collects only the information you submit through the quote request form on this website: your name, email address, an optional telephone number, the details of your project inquiry, and your communications-consent selections. When you submit the form, Fortis also records the date and time of submission in UTC, the page URL the form was submitted from, your IP address, and your browser user-agent string so that the submission and your consent selections can be verified later. Fortis also records the tab-scoped measurement identifier described under Cookies and Analytics below, together with the campaign parameters in the link you arrived through, the page that referred you, and the first page you landed on, so that a request can be related to the visit it came from.

Fortis also collects information through two other forms on this website. The board packet download form collects your first name and email address, along with which packet you requested and the page you requested it from. The sample report download form collects your first name and email address, along with the building name you provide and which sample report you requested; Fortis also records how many times you have downloaded the report and when you last did so. Both of these forms also record the tab-scoped measurement identifier described under Cookies and Analytics below.

How We Use Information

Submitted information is used to respond to your inquiry, prepare a scope and fee, schedule inspections, and provide the engineering services you requested. If you affirmatively opt in to marketing communications, Fortis may also send recurring marketing messages to the telephone number you provided until you opt out.

Board packet and sample report requests are used only to deliver the requested document to the email address you provided and to follow up if delivery fails.

SMS and Mobile Information

Mobile information, including mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information, will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

If you opt in to receive SMS communications from Fortis BuildSafe Solutions, message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for assistance.

Consent Records

Marketing consent is recorded separately from ordinary quote and project communications. Fortis stores the exact disclosure text and version you were shown, whether you selected the optional marketing consent checkbox, and the telephone number the consent applies to. Consent history records are retained and are not overwritten when preferences later change, and an opt-out is honored until new consent is affirmatively provided.

Service Providers

This website is served by Cloudflare, which hosts the deployed application and delivers its pages and assets. Form submissions and consent records are stored in the site’s managed database and processed by its secure server-side form handler. These providers process the information only to operate the website on behalf of Fortis. Emails triggered by these forms, including quote confirmations, board packets, and sample reports, are delivered through Resend, a transactional email service, which processes the recipient email address and message content solely to deliver that email.

Cookies and Analytics

When you first visit this site, a notice at the bottom of the screen asks whether you accept cookies. If you accept, this site loads Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies in your browser and processes the resulting information on Google’s systems under Google’s own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded and sets no cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser so the notice is not shown again; clearing your browser storage will cause it to be shown again.

Your browser may also store limited technical data required for the site to load and function.

Separately from Google Analytics, and regardless of your cookie choice, Fortis also runs its own first-party, aggregate measurement. When you view a page or use a feature such as a call link or the quote form, the site records the event name, page path, referring page, campaign parameters in the link you followed, device category, screen width, and browser user agent. Alongside this, the site stores in your current browser tab a random identifier, the campaign parameters present in the link you arrived through, the page that referred you, and the first page you landed on, so that a visit can be measured as a whole rather than as unconnected page views. All of it exists only for the current browser tab and is discarded when the tab closes. This first-party measurement uses no cookies, no advertising or cross-site identifiers, and no third-party trackers, and it is not used to build a profile of you or to identify you personally.

Individual measurement records are kept for up to fourteen months, after which only day-level totals are retained. If your browser encounters a technical error on this site, the site may also record the error message, the page it occurred on, the browser user agent, and the tab-scoped identifier described above, solely so the fault can be diagnosed and fixed.

The Projects page on this website embeds Google Maps to show project locations. Loading that map calls Google's servers directly; that interaction is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy, not this one.

Your Choices

You may decline to provide a telephone number and still submit a quote request. Marketing consent is optional and is never required in order to submit the form or to purchase services. To request access to or deletion of your information, or to opt out of communications, contact Fortis using the details below.

Children's Privacy

This website is intended for property managers, condominium board members, and building owners, and is not directed at children under 13. Fortis does not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

Form submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections and written to the database by a server-side handler. The stored records are not publicly readable through the website.
